CleanSpark (NASDAQ: CLSK), one of the largest Bitcoin mining firms in the world, has announced the acquisition of two BTC mining campuses in Dalton, Georgia for $9.3 million this week.
Purchases Put CleanSpark On Track To Reach Year-End Hashrate Target Of 16 EH/s
The facilities are set to host over 6,000 Antminer S19 XPs and S19J Pro+ rigs and will see CleanSpark add just under 1 exahashes per second (EH/s) to its hashrate. This ensures that they have the infrastructure necessary to reach their year-end target of 16 EH/s, positioning them as one of the most power-efficient miners on an energy-per-hashrate basis.
Previous Purchases Secured Over The Past Several Months
This is not the first time that CleanSpark has made a major purchase over the past several months. In February they purchased 20,000 Antminer S19j Pro+ machines for $43.6 million, followed by 45,000 Antminer S19 XP units worth $144.9 million in April and 12,500 Antminer S19 XP rigs in May.
CleanSpark’s Stock Performance
CLSK traded at $4.86 on Wednesday with 10% gains on the day after rallying more than 140% since January 2023 alone; analysts expect it to reach $12 soon due to these purchases and other positive news from around the industry recently.
